The Smart Systems Technology Company which started jointly with state communications operator Aztelekom is to create a network infrastructure to deploy broadband Internet services in four Azerbaijani regions which suffer from difficult access, Smart Systems Technology Marketing Manager Subhan Garagozov told Trend on Friday.
The work is carried out as part of the Aztelekom development, which in late 2010 offered to assist commercial providers to expand activities to the regions, based partly on its own network infrastructure.
Aztelekom offered service providers free use of its telecommunications infrastructure for business development at a regional level (mainly in rural areas).
Mr Garagozov said that in 2011 Smart Systems Technology launched services in Mingachevir, Ganja, Gakh, Zagatala, Sheki, Sumgayit, Lankaran and Khachmaz. The company's plans for 2012 include broadband internet coverage of more than10 regions (Yevlakh, Gabala, Kurdamir, Masalli and Astara).
