Azerbaijani state agencies start receiving online-payments

Several Azerbaijani state agencies will render online-payment services through its Internet resources soon, GoldenPay company told Trend on Monday.

Azerbaijani GoldenPay company, operating as a system integrator, has been chosen as an agency which will deal with the technical side of the system.

At the initial stage, the online-payment services will be available on the webpages of the State Migration Service, the State Committee for Standardization Metrology and Patents, the Ministry of Economic Development, the State Property Committee, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Maritime Administration and the State Administration of Civil Aviation.

"The work is being carried out within "Electronic Government" project. The online-payment system is expected to be launched this week. Electronic payments will be available on the webpages of state institutions, on the portal "Electronic government" (ehdis.az) and webpage hesab.az. People will be able to pay duties, fines, licensing fees, etc., in online regime. This is an effective tool to combat corruption."

GoldenPay company also signed a contract with the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry. Besides paying some duties, the services of paying the fines for traffic violations will be available.

The company is negotiating with municipal agencies about the possibility of using electronic payment systems. All the state institutions of the republic will be connected to the online-payment system.
