Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 15 / Trend H.Veliyev /

CATEL company is in talks with a number of structures on raising funds to address the issue of resumption of wireless CDMA, company's secretary general Huseyn Mammadov told Trend on Wednesday.

He said that although no results have been achieved yet, there is still hope that the issue will be resolved.

"CATEL is a private organization, and the founder does not consider the question of sale of any part or the whole enterprise. We are hopeful that funding issues will be resolved and the company will fully restore the network," Mammadov said.

CATEL network problems began from April 1, 2011, which led to disconnection from the network of owners of phones running in the CDMA standard (numbers with an index "417", "418" and "415", as well as the number of mobile network FONEX, starting with the zonal code "040").

Earlier, Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov called the difficult financial situation of CATEL the reason which prevents the resumption of the operator's network.

If earlier participation of public operators was considered in the resumption of a wireless network CATEL, in view of its financial situation, this perspective has lost its relevance.

Private companies were invited to participate in the resumption of CATEL, and currently a number of companies expressed an interest. According to the minister, if agreements are reached, after the settlement of legal questions CATEL will be able to resume work.
