Plant for the computer equipment production KUR started producing mini-computers with voice control, head of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Vidadi Zeynalov said.
"Mini-computer is designed for the visually impaired people and controlled by voice commands, allowing to gain access to news resources, search and publicize the existence of the requested literature in electronic database library" Zeynalov said.
Experimental version of the mini-computer was presented by Azerbaijani IT-company Neyroteh for the first time at the beginning of last year. Customers of the project are the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan and Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Design and software component of the devices are designed by Dilmanc and the company Neyroteh. The software component of the device is made in Azeri.
Mini-PC can be useful as for the blind and visually impaired people and other persons to whom it may be necessary. The device allows you to manage e-mail, warn about the presence of e-mails in your inbox, reply to emails, phone calls, etc.
Dilmanc developed a special browser that is installed on the computer. With browser-integrated speech recognition system the user with a full or partial lack of vision can work on the computer. The browser works with the portal e-eye.az, which contains news sections, an electronic library, radio, etc.
