The market share of the operating system Microsoft Windows 7 increased by 7.37 percent in Azerbaijan in January-October, Global Stats said on Friday.
Windows 7 is popular in Azerbaijan and accounts for 54.04 percent of the market. The share of Windows 7 has increased by 21.45 per cent compared to the same period of 2011.
Windows XP with a share of 42.55 percent is in the second place. The market share of Windows XP decreased by 7.1 percent in the past ten months, and by 19.53 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The decline was also recorded in the number of users of Microsoft Vista. According to the Global Stats, Vista's market share amounted to 1.27 per cent as of November 1, which is 0.66 per cent lower compared to the beginning of the year, and 1.98 percent less than in January-October 2011.
A decline of 0.05 percent was registered on MacOSX during the ten months of 2012.
The 0.05 percent decrease was also registered on MacOSX. The number of installations of iOS increased by 0.31 percent, which accounts for 0.76 percent of the operating system market of Azerbaijan. Other operating systems accounts for 0.52 percent.
