Afghanistan intends to adopt Azerbaijan's practices in the establishment of an 'electronic government', the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan told Trend on Monday.
According to the ministry, an Afghan delegation headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the country Amirzai Sangin is currently on a visit to the capital of Azerbaijan. Until June 15, members of the Afghan delegation will hold a series of meetings with the government agencies of Azerbaijan, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.
The parties will discuss the ICT development infrastructure in Afghanistan, the building of an 'electronic government' system, as well as Azerbaijani investments in the ICT sector in Afghanistan. Also on the agenda will be the possibility of organising training courses on IT specialties within the framework of the IT University created in Azerbaijan to gain experience in the field of the ICT sector and other related issues.
