The number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan increased by 5.48 percent in January-April 2014, the statistical center - Global Stats said Friday, May 2.
Facebook users' number increased in Azerbaijan by 3.15 percent, compared with the same period of 2013.
Facebook is the most popular social networking site in Azerbaijan, with 68.63 percent share in the social media market.
Meanwhile, the number of users of Twitter - a social networking and microblogging site - decreased in the first four months of 2014.
Twitter's share in Azerbaijani social media market fell by 22.74 percent during this period and stood at 8.97 percent. This figure is also 23.92 percent less that the figure for the same period of 2013.
The number of users the famous video-sharing website - YouTube - increased by 30.54 percent in January-April 2014, and its market share in Azerbaijan stands at 8.59 percent.
However, the YouTube users' number fell by 33.93 percent compared with the same period of last year.
Tumblr - a microblogging and social networking site - owns 4.15 percent in Azerbaijani social media market, and is followed by another social networking site popular in Azerbaijan - Odnoklassniki.
There has been a 38.91 percent reduction in the number of Odnoklassniki users in Azerbaijan.
Odnoklassniki (Russian - Одноклассники) is a social networking site for classmates and old friends, and is popular in Russia and post-Soviet countries.
The social networking site holds 3.47 percent of Azerbaijani market.
Odnoklassniki is followed by Pinterest - 2.8 percent and Vkontakte - 1.68 percent.
