Baku, Azerbaijan, June 5

The First European Games to be held in Baku on June 12-28 will be good preparation for Rio 2016 Olympics, British kayaker Ed McKeever said, UK's "This is Wiltshire" reported.
"I've never been to Azerbaijan before and it should be good to do a multi-sport event in another country - I've only competed in an Olympics in this country (UK) so it would be good preparation for the Olympics next year," said McKeever, who flies to Azerbaijan next Wednesday.
McKeever, who was K1 200m champion at London 2012, clinched a bronze in his second World Cup event of the season in Copenhagen on Sunday as he builds towards August's World Championships in Milan, where automatic spots at Rio 2016 will be on the line.
Before that, McKeeever will tussle with the inaugural multi-sport European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 14-16, where he will travel as one of Great Britain's senior athletes.
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
