Some 5,000 more tickets have been recently sold for the competitions as part of the Baku 2015 first European Games, Simon Clegg, Chief Operating Officer of the Baku-2015 first European Games said at a press conference in Baku June 24.

He said that more than 12,000 tickets were sold for the Baku 2015 first European Games on June 22.

"The additional tickets are being sold," he said.

He said that the closing ceremony of the first European Games is being prepared at the Baku Olympic Stadium.

He said that the competitions in seven kinds of sports will be held as part of Baku 2015 first European Games June 24.

"The medals will be awarded following the swimming and fencing competitions June 24," Clegg said. "Some 22,000 spectators are expected to watch the competitions on June 24, while 30,000 spectators will watch the judo competitions June 25."

The European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
