Azerbaijan produced 33,200 tons of propylene in January-July 2016, which is 5.2 percent more than in the same period of 2015, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in its report.
According to the report, the country produced 61,700 tons of polyethylene in January-July 2016, or 10.1 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Some 36,000 tons of barium sulfate were produced in Azerbaijan during the period, which is 9.4 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Some 7,530 tons of isopropyl alcohol were produced in the country in January-July, which is 54.7 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Azerbaijan saw an increase in the production of major types of chemicals in January-July 2016.
