BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

Azerbaijan’s Ulduz chocolate factory, producing confectionery products, has produced several new varieties of sweets, a source in the factory told Trend.

“The factory has expanded its product range with new types of jelly sweets with various fruit fillings and other ingredients,” the source said.

"The development of new types of sweets was completed at the beginning of this year,” the source said. “The products are already sold in supermarkets in Baku. The range is being expanded given the growing demand for jelly sweets and marmalade. The prices for new products vary from 3.50 ($2) to 5 manat ($2.9) per kilogram.”

"At the same time, the factory is expanding the range of packaged chocolate sweets, which are also in great demand,” the source added.

“The factory plans to increase the volumes of confectionery products by opening new production lines. The factory plans to export the products to more countries. The negotiations are underway with current and potential partners in the regional countries," said the source.

Ulduz factory, located in Baku, is a part of Veyseloglu-Yayjili Gardashlar LLC.

The modern Italian, Turkish and German equipment is used in the factory.
