The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic SOCAR has expressed interest in construction project of the new complex for the production of nitrogen fertilizers at Belarus’s Grodno Azot OJSC, Ibrahim Ahmadov, deputy head of the public relations and events department at SOCAR, told Trend.
“There are several projects in Belarus in which SOCAR is interested,” Ahmadov said.
"The company is already participating in the construction of the pipeline infrastructure for the heavy oil residue hydrocracking complex at the Mozyr Oil Refinery, an additional modernization phase is also planned to be carried out. According to our observations, the skills of SOCAR specialists can be useful."
“The company is also considering the issue of participation in Belarus’s Naftan company’s modernization project,” deputy head of the department said.
“Our experience in laying pipelines and electric power lines may be required here,” Ahmadov said.
Grodno Azot OJSC announced about the search for a general contractor for the construction of a new complex for the production of nitrogen fertilizers in the fourth quarter of 2018. The complex is planned to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2025.
