The agrarian sector is dynamically developing in Azerbaijan, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov said, Trend reports.
Karimov made the remark speaking at the 1st International Republican Web Forum of Agrarian Development Volunteers.
“The main goal of the forum is discussion of the activities of volunteers for the comprehensive and sustainable development of the country, their participation in the measures against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection during the period of a special quarantine regime. The forum is also aimed at increasing the interest of young people in getting education in the agricultural sector,” said the minister.
“The development of the agricultural sector in the country has entered a new stage. Pursuant to the instructions of the head of state, the country is taking targeted measures to develop the sector,” Karimov noted.
‘Agrarian development volunteers’ are conducting educational events among schoolchildren in different regions to increase interest in agrarian education, he added.
“Over the past two years, ‘Agrarian development volunteers’ have implemented about 40 projects. These projects increase the interest of young people in various fields of agriculture and influence the formation of human resources, which will ensure the dynamic development of the agricultural sector,” said Kerimov.
The 1st International Republican Web Forum of Agrarian Development Volunteers will last three days.
