The project opens up several important opportunities for Kazakhstan.Kazakhtelecom considers the laying of FOCL as a matter of domestic security.

“The implementation of the project will enable the country to bolster its telecommunication security and the informational sovereignty of the country. Additionally, the project will boost the transit potential of the company by way of providing opportunities for diversification of opportunities and increasing transit capabilities,” the official noted.

The source notes that the associated projects, including the construction of Tier-III data centers, and the construction of the East-West superhighway will create crucial information and communication technology infrastructure.
