BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. World Bank (WB) is working to expand access to digital services and digital connectivity in Azerbaijan, WB Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael told Trend.
“There are many opportunities that digitalization and digital connectivity can offer when it comes to economic opportunities for social inclusion and social relations,” she said.
According to her, digital skills can contribute to the further prosperity of the country, and WB is also looking for ways to support the development of human capital.
"We are looking very closely at several different goals that the Azerbaijani government has set in this area in its new strategy published last year," the country manager noted.
She added that the WB is committed to working with the government of Azerbaijan in the development of human capital and digital skills, and supports the country in its quest to achieve the digital goals set by the government.
