BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. The Port of Constanta in Romania and the Port of Baku in Azerbaijan are actively cooperating in the development of the Middle Corridor, George Vishan, Commercial Director of Constanta Port Administration, on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Week told Trend.
According to the director, given the current geopolitical situation, the Middle Corridor has become more important than ever.
"Due to the current situation, the transport routes have changed and we expect a large flow of goods via this transport route," Vishan added.
He also said that the Port of Constanta and the Port of Baku are planning to sign a memorandum.
"At the moment we are developing a Memorandum of Cooperation. It is expected that the document will be signed within the next few months," the director said.
From May 31 through June 3, Baku hosts the 28th International Exhibition on Caspian Oil and Gas, the 11th International Exhibition on Energy and Renewable Energy Sources and the 20th anniversary of the Caspian International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition.
The 28th Baku Energy Forum is expected to be held on June 1-2.
