ICRC members visit Azerbaijani hostage

As the Baku Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) told Trend, the committee's employees have visited POW Roman Huseynov, who has been kept in captivity in Armenia. ICRC employees monitored his detention conditions and health.

As the Baku Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) told Trend, the committee's employees have visited POW Roman Huseynov, who has been kept in captivity in Armenia. ICRC employees monitored his detention conditions and health.

The POW's letter, written to his family, has been sent to ICRC Azerbaijani representation.
Huseynov's letter has been presented to his family.

The Armenian armed forces captured Azerbaijani army sergeant Roman Huseynov on Aug.27, 2010.

Azerbaijan transferred Armenian citizen Arthur Badalian to Armenia in the Agdam region on March 17. In turn, soldier Anar Hajiyev was transferred to the Azerbaijani side.

Junior sergeant Anar Hajiyev was captured by the Armenian armed forces on May 10, 2009.
The National Security Ministry has filed a criminal case under Article 274 (for high treason) against Hajiyev.
