A commemoration ceremony was held on Saturday in connection with anniversary of the death of Azerbaijani National Mubariz Ibrahimov.
Employees of the Baku Chief Youth and Sport Department, a group of young people visited the graves of martyrs Mubariz Ibrahimov and Farid Ahmadov in the second Alley of Honor.
Mubariz Ibrahimov discharged his civic duty at the cost of his life, Baku Chief Youth and Sport Department head Ragif Abbasov said at the ceremony.
Azerbaijani Armed Forces ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov showed heroism in an armed incident at the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops June 18, killing four and wounding four Armenian servicemen. Mubariz Ibrahimov heroically died in an unequal fight that lasted five hours.
