The National University of Modern Languages in Pakistan has held a seminar on the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan told Trend.
The event was attended by public and politicl figures, senators, leaders and teachers from well-known universities, the Diplomatic Academy of Pakistan, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the country and members of the media.
Society of Asian civilization Chairman, Professor Z. Gureysi told participants about the nature of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, and the history of the resettlement of Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh.
Speakers at the event spoke about the genocide and noted the importance of bringing to justice the perpetrators of the genocide and paying compensation to the families of Khojaly victims.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov thanked the senate and the people of Pakistan for supporting Azerbaijan's position on the Nagorno Karabakh issue.
