Time frame for the OSCE Minsk group should be determined, the ruling party of Azerbaijan said.
The co-chairs make promises during each visit to the region, but we have not witnessed the fulfillment of these promises, Deputy Chairman - Executive Secretary of ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan" Party (NAP) Ali Ahmedov told journalists on Monday.
"Azerbaijan has stated that it supports the peaceful settlement of the conflict, visits should be paid and negotiations should be held in this direction. We therefore welcome the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group to the region. But at the same time, the Azerbaijani society has a very serious claim to the co-chairs of the Minsk Group and in general to the Minsk Group," Ahmedov said.
Ahmedov noted that it will be 20 years since the inception of the Minsk Group, and the conflict is not resolved during the time.
"The question is: How many years is it required for the Minsk Group to resolve the conflict? How many years do the refugees have to wait for settlement of the conflict?" Ahmedov said.
Ahmedov noted that if the Minsk Group wants to continue its mediation to resolve the conflict then the time frame should be defined.
The visit of the co-chairs to the region will begin on March 2.
