Speaker: Sudan supports just position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

Sudan fully supports the just position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Sudanese parliament speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir said on Sunday at the meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in the country Shahin Abdullayev.

Sudan fully supports the just position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Sudanese parliament speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir said on Sunday at the meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in the country Shahin Abdullayev.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev met with Speaker of Sudan, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, the embassy said on Sunday.

Shahin Abdullayev also is an accredited ambassador of Azerbaijan in Sudan.

El-Tahir said that he was satisfied bilateral relations within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other international organizations.

Sudan's parliament speaker also noted that the government of Sudan to fully support the just position of Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Ambassador detally informed about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its consequences, noting that Azerbaijan also appreciates Sudan's position on this issue.

The Ambassador noted the important role of Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan in international inter-parliamentary relations and emphasized the importance of creating of friendship groups between the parliaments of Sudan and Azerbaijan.

The Speaker said that the parliament of Sudan is ready to create a group of friendship between Sudan and Azerbaijan and to organize visits of members and the heads of these groups for strengthen inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Ahmed El-Tahir wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic activities for the development of bilateral relations.
