Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 26 / Trend, M. Aliyev /

The petitions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Khojaly tragedy posted on the White House's website collected a sufficient number of signatures. This testifies to our success, chairman of the coordinating council of the "Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh" Public Union Orkhan Akbarov told Trend today.

"The petitions collected enough signatures," he said. "This clearly testifies to solidarity of Azerbaijanis. The most important thing is to keep this solidarity."

He added that one can be sure that the petitions, which will be raised before the White House and other international organizations in the future, will rapidly collect the necessary number of votes.

"If this solidarity is demonstrated for a long time, international organizations will have to express their attitude to Azerbaijan's just position," he said.

Akbarov expressed this attitude towards the White House's response to this petition.

"We would like to have the White House's more concrete and effective response to this petition," he said.
