Hearings on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict Nagorno-Karabakh will be held at an annual meeting on the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE in Washington. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that the discussions will be held behind the closed doors.

U.S. Ambassador Steven Mann, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, Andjey Caspzyk, the special representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, and Goran Lenmarker, a special representative of the PA OSCE, are expected to deliver a speech at the gathering.

A meeting held on 1 July put on motion a daft resolution on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh at the initiative of the Azerbaijan. The draft document was not included in the agenda of the PA session. The countries voting against the draft resolution were OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries (the United States, France and Russia), as well as Canada, Latvia, Czech Republic and other countries. Lenmarker stated that as the resolution of the conflict reached the critical point, no resolution submitted by any party should be put for the discussion at the Assembly.
