Azerbaijan will be allocated $21 million by the UNO World Food Program (WFP), the head of the department on problems of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), migration and work with international institutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Gurban Sagikhov told Trend.

According to him, the organization’s three-year aid program has been developed and approved.

Thus, the problem of assigning the food aid to refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan from the UNO WFP, existing some time ago, has been completely removed.

According to Sadikhov, the UNO WFP renders monthly the food aid to 140,000 refugees and IDPs. Till 2001 the food aid by UN WFP covered 200,000 people, however, later, the statistics lowered.
