OSCE May Play a Significant Role as Mediator in Frozen Conflicts in South Caucasus and Moldova German Foreign Minister

The OSCE may play a significant role as mediator in the frozen conflict in South Caucasus and Moldova, the State Minister at the German Foreign Ministry, Gernot Erler, stated at the meeting of the Council of OSCE Foreign Ministers in Brussels, Trend reports.

We call on the affected parties to use the opportunities which exist for negotiations and to reach an agreement. In this respect, we welcome the process of withdrawing the Russian troops from Georgia. At present it is important to rapidly and successfully fulfill the Istanbul obligations there, he said.
