ICRC Representatives Visited Azerbaijan Soldier Captured by Armenians

Employees of ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross) visited Azerbaijan soldier, who was recently captured by Armenians. The Azerbaijan soldier is being kept in Yerevan, a source in the Press-Service of the ICRC Azerbaijan told Trend.

The ICRC representatives got acquitted with the conditions where the soldier is kept.

In audition, today, the ICRC Armenian Office received a letter which was written by members of the Azerbaijan soldier family. They pledged that it would be delivered to the soldier in the nearest days. On December 24, 2006, a soldier of Military Unit X based in Gazakh Region of Azerbaijan, Samir Nazim oghlu Mammadov was captured by Armenian forces under unknown circumstances. Samur Mammadov was called for the military service by the military commissariat of Barda District of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijan Defense Ministry said that the Azerbaijan soldier had lost his way and turned out to be in the hands of Armenian forces.
