Chief of Azerbaijan Presidential Administration Says Statement Made by Armenian Foreign Minister Nothing but a Speculation

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. E. Husseynli/ Novruz Mammadov, the Chief of the International Relations Department of the Azerbaijan Presidential Administration, has stated that the statement made by Armenia's Acting Foreign Minister concerning the both conflict parties' allegedly approaching to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue is nothing but a speculation.

According to Mr. Novruzov, Mr. Oskanyan's statement has been considered for the forthcoming parliamentary elections to be held in Armenia. " Armenia's leadership very frequenly resort to such methods," added Mr. Novruzov.

Notably, Armenia has occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani lands including Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven Districts of the country surrounding the breakaway region. Since 1992 and up to date, all these territories have been under the occupation of Armenian Forces. In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a cease-fire agreement. Battles and active hostilities ended after it.
