A resident of Baku misappropriated great amount of money through fraud under pretext of assistance in job placement in China, the Khatayi District Police Office in Baku told Trend on Jan. 10.
Residents of the capital Rafig Aliyev and Rovshan Mammadov appealed to the law enforcement bodies that Elchin Agayev misappropriated $100,000 under pretext of job placement in China in March 2008.
Agayev has not been yet questioned, the office said. A lawsuit was filed on the case under the Article 178.3.2 (fraud with great damage) of the Azeri Criminal Code.
