Two Turkish F-16 fighters conducted reconnaissance flights over camps belonging to the terrorist organization, the "Kurdistan Workers' Party" (PKK) located in the northern Iraq, Sabah newspaper reported on Wednesday.

According to the newspaper, the flights lasted two hours. Their purpose was to collect information on PKK members leaving Turkey.

Previously, imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan urged members of the organization to lay down their arms and leave Turkey.

PKK militants began to leave Turkey on May 8.
