According to preliminary data, there are no Azerbaijanis among the victims and injured in the blasts in Volgograd, head of the Board of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress (VAK) in Volgograd region of Russia, Teymur Hasanov told Trend on Dec.30.

Hasanov said that after the report on the second explosion in Volgograd, VAK regional representation contacted local law enforcement bodies in order to find out whether there were our fellow citizens among the victims and injured in the blast. At the moment there is no information on the presence of Azerbaijanis among the victims or injured.

The blast occurred as a result of an unidentified explosive device triggering at a bus stop near Kachinsky market in Volgograd at 8:25, Dec.30. It resulted in human casualties.

"According to preliminary data, at least ten people were killed and 15 injured. The trolleybus was completely destroyed," RIA Novosti reported.
