Baku, Azerbaijan, May 23

A schoolgirl was killed in an accident involving an electric car at an entertainment and recreation center in Azerbaijan's Gobustan District, on May 23.

Two children, who suffered various injuries in the accident, were taken to the Gobustan District Central Hospital, the district's emergency aid service told Trend.

Reportedly, the accident took place at 13:00 (local time) at the 'Jannat Baghi' (Paradise Garden) entertainment and recreation center.

The accident happened when the Baku Oxford School's students were in the electric car. One student was killed and two were injured in the accident.

The student killed and those wounded are all girls aged 10-11.

A teacher, who was with the children in the electric car, was not injured.

A group of 30-35 students was visiting the entertainment center as part of a field trip when the accident happened.

The accident is being investigated by the Gobustan District Prosecutor's Office.
