Identification of people died at roof collapse of Basmanni bazaar underway

Identification of the people died and injured as a result of the roof collapse of the Basmanni bazaar of Moscow, taken place on 23 February, is underway, the Azerbaijani embasssy in Russia told Trend.

The headquarters, located at the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia, dispatches its representatives to hospitals and morgues to identify the victims of the incident and render appropriate assistance. The exact number of the victims is unknown, as the headquarters continues identification of the corpses, extracted from the ruins. Therefore, the date of delivery of the corpses to Baku is unknown.

Despite statements by the Moscow authorities on payment of compensation to the families of the dead in the amount of 100,000 rubles and financing of repatriation of the victims, Azerbaijan itself solves the current issues.

In accordance with the date as of the Friday morning, corpses of 12 Azerbaijanis were identified.

In accordance with unspecified data, around 20 Azerbaijanis were placed at the Moscow hospitals.
