Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Аgayeva / Zakir Hashimov, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey, stated on 18 August that the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey ascertain presence of Azerbaijanis in Turkish airline captured by terrorists.
There are 142 passengers in the airline belonging to Atlas-Jet aviation company. The airline flying from North Cyprus to Istanbul landed in the Turkish City Anatolia, the Turkish channel NTV reported.
NTV has stated that there are two hijackers. The hijackers threaten to blow up the airline as soon as the airline rose from the Ercan airport. One of the hijackers condemned that he had explosive, however this information has not been approved.
Presently, the airline is in Antalia-based airport for top-up. The information about high-jacking of the airline was known from mother one of the passengers. There are 136 passengers in the airline. Nobody suffered, Tunjay Boyener, the representative of the Turkish aviation company has reported to NTV channel. Security service has not been taken measures against the hijackers.
