Ukraine, Kiev / Trend corr. Z.Novosvitski / GUAM ( Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Moldova) is calling for countries to join to the overall Nuclear Test Ban, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, said on 20 September.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation and permanent representative of the Ukraine at the international organizations in Vienna, Vladimir Elchenko, made such a statement on behalf of GUAM during the conference.
The agreement bans any nuclear test for military and other purposes.
Despite the bill being adopted eleven years before, it has not yet come into force.
Some 177 countries signed the agreement and only 140 of them ratified it.
