Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / Azerbaijani opposition Musavat Party is planning to hold rally in Ukraine square in Khatai District of Baku on 18 October, Arif Hajili, the head of the Central Executive Department of the party, said on 28 September.
"The rally will be held due to the next anniversary of adoption of the Act on Independence," Hajili said.
The Azerbaijani Supreme Council adopted the Act on Independence on 18 October 1991.
The party continues discussions on the issue and the concrete decision is expected to be adopted in the near future.
Opposition party "Musavat" was founded in 1992. Isa Gembar, the present Chairman of the Party was the Ex-Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) in 1992-1993 and the candidate nominated to the Presidential elections held in the country in 2003. Four MPs represents the Party in the Parliament of the Country.
