Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade / The Ambassador of Kuwait to Azerbaijan, Shahin Abdullayev, said on 22 October that a Joint Azerbaijani-Kuwaiti Economic Commission will be established.
According to the Ambassador, the works to devise the documents on establishment of the Commission have completed and currently are under of closing discussions. "The documents will be signed in the near future," the Ambassador said.
The Joint Economic Commission is significant because the two countries have big economic potentials, he said. Abdullayev stressed that the Kuwaiti side is interested in the favorable investment atmosphere in Azerbaijan. "The large Kuwaiti companies are holding talks with the Azerbaijani side. Several agreements have already been reached," the Ambassador said.
According to Abdullayev, the business people of Kuwait are interested in the energy, tourism and industrial spheres in Azerbaijan. There are large-scale investment projects and they are considered.
"The Azerbaijani side is willing to expand the military co-operation with Kuwait," he said.
