Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Maharramli / At the beginning of 2008 the implementation of the action plan by the European Union (EU) in the South Caucasus will be assessed, Peter Semneby, the European Union Special Representative for South Caucasus, told Trend in Berlin on 6 November.
According to special representative, the potential of the action signed among 3 South Caucasus countries is still to be fully utilized. The five year plan will enable to discover positive milestones for our cooperation," he said
The EU's New Neighborhood Policy is not a prospective policy for entrance to the organization. "We have an important action plan with all three south Caucasus courtiers and it enables us to carry out reforms in the society," he stressed.
Semneby said that it would not be right to consider the New Neighborhoods Policy as a possibility of getting finances.
