Karabakh Liberation Organization Holds Rally-March in Baku

Ali-zade / A group of the members of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) held a rally-march in Baku from the park situated in front of the Poetry House of Aliaga Vahid to the National Park due to the Flag Holiday on 9 November. The march did not result in any incident.

Initially KLO intended to hold the rally from the 28 May metro to the Alley of Martyrs, but police dispersed the action. A participant of the rally-march Ahmad-zade Rufat was detained and delivered to the 22nd police office in Nasimi District in Baku.

The organizers of the action changed the route and assembled in front of the Baki Soveti metro. They marched to the National Park distributing Azerbaijani flags to the by-passers. Police did not interfere with the action. At the end they set the Azerbaijani flag on the top of the parachute tower in the National Park.

The state flag of Azerbaijan was adopted on 9 November of 1918 in the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan.

The KLO was established in Baku on 28 January 2000, with the objective of a public struggle for the liberation of Nagorno-Karabakh. KLO unites representatives of intelligentsia, refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs), old and young people as well as former military soldiers.
