Azerbaijan Toughen Measures against Labour Bill Violation

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani Government will toughen measures against labour bill violation. Supplements and changes are proposed into the Code of Administrative Violation of Laws. The issue was discussed and ratified during the session of the permanent commission of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) on Social Policy.

The chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Legal Policy and State Construction Ali Huseynov said violators of the new labour bill will be punished by the State Labour Inspection. Before the violators of the bill were punished by the State Labour Inspection, Tax Minister and State Social Protection Fund. The new bill envisages fine from 1,000 to 2,500-3,000 conventional currency unit for natural persons and from 5,000 to 35,000 conventional currency units for juridical persons.

Most violation is observed in construction sector, Huseynov added.

The Commission approved the changes and recommended to discuss the issues in the Parliament.
