Azerbaijani Central Election Commission to Approve New Instructions Due to Presidential Elections

Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 February / Trend corr. G.Jabiyev / The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijani has developed the program to inform voters and other interested persons about election process on the threshold of the presidential elections scheduled for 15 October, Natik Mammadov, CEC secretary stated to Trend on 27 February.

The aim of the program is to increase the knowledge of voters and interested persons in the election process. Presently, CEC is engaged in specifying of election lists and develop new instruction.

CEC secretary informed that the current material-technical base was enough to hold free and democratic presidential elections. Presently, CEC does not consider acquiring additional election ballot boxes from abroad.

There are 5,000 election stations in Azerbaijan. Each station was supplied with one transfer and stationary election ballot box.

According to Mammadov, CEC would consider technical issues if any deficit is occur on the threshold of presidential elections.
