Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 March / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Rustam Shahsuvarov, who was dismissed as chairman of the Communistic Party of Azerbaijan (CPA), is establishing a new party. "I am thinking of establishing a new party due to the many appeals made to CPA by my supporters," Shahsuvarov said to Trend .

CPA split into two parts after the death of Ramiz Ahmadov, CPA chairman; supporters of Rauf Gurbanov and supporters of Shahsuvarov.

Shahsuvarov was dismissed from his post as chairmanship as a result of contradictions which occurred within CPA in January 2008. Alaskar Khalilova was appointed to that position.

In February, Shahsuvarov informed Trend of his wish to establish a new Communistic Party of Azerbaijan of New Generation. "I made the decision to cooperate with the Communistic Party of Azerbaijan of New Generation. I have supporters in CPA and I made the decision to establish a new party," Shahsuvarov said.

The new party would be left wing and pro-Marxist and may be established at the end of April or early May, Shahsuvarov added.
