Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 March / Trend corr P. Aliyeva, S. Ilhamgizi/ Representatives of the political parties of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, who are visiting Azerbaijan at the invitation of the governing New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), visited the Lankaran region on 6 March. They met with the head of the Lankaran administration, activists of the local NAP organizations as well as the young people.
The head of the Lankaran administration Suleyman Mikayilov informed the guests of the social and economic development of Lankaran and the opening of new jobs. The guests asked about innovations in Lankaran, the development of the region, the local political parties and the young people's social and political activities. They also visited the sights in the region.
The guests are the activists of the youth organizations, the International Unity Party, the Party of Freedom and Reforms.
The purpose of the visit is to enhance mutual support for the joining of the European Union by Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
