Public not Under Threat in Connection with Presidential Elections - Azerbaijani Minister
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. B.Ismayilova / Ramil Usubov, the Internal Minister of Azerbaijan, stated to journalists during an automobile presentation in Baku that no problems are foreseen and the public will not be under any threat in connection with the upcoming presidential elections in the country.
Currently, the Azerbaijani police will be clamping immediately on any illegal action, the ANS TV cited the Minister's speech. "I do not believe the public will be under any threat in connection with the approaching presidential elections. However, the police is prepared to react to unexpected situations within the country," Usubov said.
The presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan in autumn 2008.
