PACE Spring Session Agenda Announced

Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 April / Trend corr. I.Alizade / The PACE spring session agenda has been announced. According to information placed in the PACE official website, the results of the presidential elections in Armenia, Serbia, Russia and Montenegro and parliamentary elections in Monaco will be discussed during the session.

The issue concerning the elections of judges to the European Court from several countries including Azerbaijan, as well as the election of the PACE new Vice President will also be considered in PACE session.

The PACE spring session will be held in Strasburg from 14 - 18 April. Ivan Gashparovich, the President of Slovakia, Angela Merkel, Federal Counselor of Germany, Yulia Timoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Bernar Kusher, Foreign Minister of France, and Yan Kubish, chairman of Council of Europe Committee of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Slovakia are expected to deliver a speech during the session.

Tomas Hammerberg, Council of Europe Commissioners on Human rights, will deliver a report on the state of human rights in the organization countries in 2007.

The Azerbaijani delegation headed by Samad Seidov will participate in the session.
