Azerbaijan to Purchase Life-Saving Facilities from Turkey: Minister (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 April / corr. Trend I. Alizade/ Azerbaijan plans to purchase life-saving facilities from Turkey for emergency situations. "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan (MES) intends to purchase state of art facilities from Turkey and talks are being held in this regard," said colonel general Kamaladdin Heydarov, the minister of emergency situations of Azerbaijan during his meeting with Jamil Chichek, the state minister of Turkey.

Chichek paid a two-day visit to Azerbaijan at Heydarov's invitation. The visit aims at discussing the cooperation between MES of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

The minister said that Azerbaijan plans to purchase fire engineering and life-saving facilities for various emergency situations. The minister stated that MES of Azerbaijan benefits from the experience of Turkey in this sphere to a great degree.

"We have the support of Turkey from the earlier days of Ministry's establishment and we rely mainly on Turkey's experience in key issues," the minister said.

The Turkish state minister Chichek said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are constantly developing and this cooperation can serve as an example for other countries. "The cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey serves the peace and stability and is of great significance for the region," he said.

"It is important to be fully alert for emergency situations. There are good opportunities to enhance cooperation in fighting emergency situations," he said.
