Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 April / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The number of applicants to the chairmanship position in the Azerbaijani National Independent Party (ANIP), has increased.
Ali Orujov, party Secretary on popularization and press, nominated his candidature to the position during the meeting in Binagadi District, Orujov informed Trend .
Alladin Askarov, ANIP Narimanov District chairman, and Fagan Maharramli, ANIP Goranboy District chairman, also nominated their candidatures to the chairmanship position.
Ayaz Rustamov, ANOP Chairman, resigned in the end of 2007. The special meeting will be held on 20 April to elect a new chairman.
