Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 April / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The opposition Classical Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (CPFPA) will announce the candidate for the presidential post in April.
The presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan in October 2008.
"CPFPA will nominate the candidate to the presidential post after the meeting of Supreme Assembly of the party," Mirmahmud Miralioglu, CPFPA Chairman stated Trend .
Miralioglu stated that he would analyze the current political situation before he nominates his candidature to the presidential post. "The election campaign is a serious and responsible process and we want to cover this completely," he said.
CPFPA's pre-election campaign will differ from other parties in that it will not hold anti-propaganda against any other candidates.
Zalimhan Mammadli, CPFPA Supreme Assembly Chairman, stated to Trend that the members of the party wish to nominate Miralioglu's candidature.
Miralioglu was Deputy of Abulfaz Elchibay, Ex-President of Azerbaijan, former Chairman of Popular front Party of Azerbaijan. In 2000, Miralioglu founded CPFPA.
