Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April / Trend corr S. Ilhamgizi/ "Journalists will be able to watch presidential elections to be held on 15 October from the beginning till the end," Mazahir Panahov, chairman of Azerbaijan Central Election Commission (CEC), said to journalists on 25 April.
"Journalists will even be able to participate in vote counting," he said.
Pertaining to the restriction of journalists' rights at voting stations during last presidential elections, Panahov said that journalists must not be given some exclusive rights during elections, but they must not be pressed as well.
"Elections never happen without shortcomings. No country can state that it held elections without shortcomings," Panahov said.
