Austria, Vienna, 8 May / corr. Trend A. Alasgarov/ The minister of economic development of Azerbaijan Heydar Babayev and the minister of federal economy and labour of Austria Martin Bartenstain held a meeting in Vienna, Fuad Ismayilov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Austria said to the Trend special correspondent.
According to the Ambassador, during the meeting the Azerbaijani minister said that the visit by the federal economy and labour minister Martin Bartenstain to Azerbaijan which took place in September 2007 had a positive impact on economic relations between the two countries.
"The ministers exchanged views on bilateral trade turnover and economic cooperation . They also touched upon the prospects of a possible expansion of relations within the energy sphere and stressed the importance in the construction of the Nabucco pipeline," said diplomat.
The ambassador added that the Azerbaijan-Austria inter-government commission, who is in Vienna at present, will participate in the presentations and will hold meetings with the heads of several companies including Austrian Energy Agency, Bertsch Holding GmbH, VAMED Engineering GmbH & Co KG, Askin & Co and the Austrian Development Agency.
