Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 May / Trend / Pascal Couchepin, Swiss Confederation President, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Sangachal oil terminal, Garadag concrete plant and Caspian Fish enterprise in the country.
Couchepin was informed about the work done by BP company in the terminal recently. BP is the operator of largest oil and gas projects in Azerbaijan, including the Shah Daniz project. Switzerland pays more attention on the perspectives of Azerbaijani gas export and this issue was one of the key topics of Kupshen's visit program to Baku.
Later, Couchepin visited the Garadag concrete plant. The plant's most shares belong to the Swiss Holsim company. Couchepin was informed that currently the plant is one of the largest concrete manufacturers in the country, which provides the material to approximately half of the market. Other part of the concrete is either manufactured by small plants or imported.
A new stove will be constructed in the plant soon as a result of the investments by the Azerbaijani Investment company and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Couchepin paid more attention on his visit to Caspian Fish. Swiss President got acquainted with preparation process of black caviar and noted its value in the European market.
Couchepin paid a visit to Azerbaijan by an invitation of the Azerbaijani President.
The multilateral discussions of the current state and perspectives of development of the Azerbaijani-Swiss cooperation in different spheres are expected within the framework of the Swiss President's visit to Azerbaijan.
